I’m an integrative medicine and infectious diseases physician who's been studying and practicing medicine for more than 30 years.

 

I’m also a believer, wife, mom, friend, bereaved parent, and cancer survivor who has learned that it takes a whole tool kit of support to walk through life. I’m passionate about sharing what integrative modalities can support us during the stresses in life.

Four Pillars of Self-care

Integrative medicine is an approach to medicine that involves the whole person, including the body, mind, and spirit — the soul.

 

I began to apply integrative practices in my clinic, and also to work with our hospital system to establish an integrative medicine program. Much of the integrative approach involves self-care. And as I sought to instruct others in self-care practices, I began to think in terms of these recurring themes.
